What Is PSYPACT?

PSYPACT (Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) is an agreement among participating states that allows authorized psychologists to provide telepsychology services across state lines.

Because Michigan participates in PSYPACT, individuals physically located in Michigan may receive psychological services remotely from psychologists authorized under the compact.

This expands access to specialized assessment services that may otherwise involve long waitlists or limited availability locally.

Why Individuals Seek Telehealth Assessments:

Adults commonly pursue evaluation after experiencing:

• Long waitlists for local assessment services

• Limited adult-focused providers nearby

• Missed diagnoses earlier in life

• Workplace or academic accommodation needs

• Ongoing uncertainty about symptoms or diagnosis

Telehealth assessment provides access to specialized services without travel or extended delays.
